DURAFORM™ Dural Graft Implant

Tearing and difficulty in handling of onlay dural substitutes can be a costly, frustrating and time consuming part of duraplasty procedures. Fortunately, today’s neurosurgeons have a new option, DURAFORM™ Dural Graft Implant. Manufactured using a patent-pending process, it has better handling characteristics and greater tear resistance than other onlay dural graft materials. As a result, DURAFORM holds up to wet handling and forceps manipulation.

BIOPLATE® Fixation System

Designed for neurosurgeons and their nursing staff, the BIOPLATE® Fixation System is a versatile and cost-effective system providing a simple and quick way to achieve rigid fixation of the cranial skeleton. Discover the very latest in plating technology in an easy-to-use, single compact set.

BIOPLATE® is a registered trademark of BIOPLATE®, Inc.

CRANIOSORB™ Absorbable Fixation System

The CRANIOSORB™ Absorbable Fixation System (AFS) is the next generation in plating systems dedicated specifically to the needs of the neurosurgeon. The system is uniquely designed to offer simple and reproducible fixation of the cranial flap and allow for complete absorption of the plating system over time.

CRANIOSORB™ AFS Plates are made from PRIMACRYL™, a patented JOHNSON & JOHNSON absorbable material. PRIMACRYL™ offers a visual cue allowing the neurosurgeon to contour plates and meshes to the desired shape of the cranium without damaging them unknowingly.

CRANIOPLASTIC® Kit

CRANIOPLASTIC® is a fast setting resinous material for repairing cranial defects, usually used with a titanium mesh. The kit includes two complete sets which consist of two bags of sterile powder, two vials of sterile liquid, and two sterile matrix bags.

ETHISORB™ DuraPatch

The ETHISORB™ Dura Patch is a synthetic absorbable implant for the bridging of Dura Mater encephali and spinalis defects. It is a composite of the following materials:
  • A fleece of undyed VICRYL (Polyglactin 910) and undyed PDS (Poly-P-Dioxanon)
  • A PDS foil, dyed with D&C Violet No.2 (Color Index No. 60725)
On one side the porous structure of the VICRYL fleece allows tissue on-growth while the PDS film coating minimizes leakage of cerebrospinal fluid. Absorption is essentially complete approximately 90 days after implantation.

Craniotomy Kit

Included in this convenient three-piece Craniotomy Kit are a Disposable Perforator, a Cranio-blade and a Wire Pass Drill. Manufactured to standards that have made Codman synonymous with quality, the CODMAN® Craniotomy Kit is unsurpassed for convenience and performance in the operating room.
